WWKC Hollypicking

This year’s hollypicking saw almost 40 paddlers from the club hit the water. It was great to see faces both old and new get into the festive spirit – there were lots of festively dressed paddlers on the water with lots of tinsel, baubles and even the odd set of Christmas lights. It seemed like there were a lot of bare Christmas trees with all the decorations getting a good wash in the Liffey.

Despite stiff competition Adrian Barber was awarded prize for the ‘Most Festive Paddler’.

Once off the water everyone made their way to the Strawberry Hall for a few hot drinks – or as many as the Strawberry Hall’s busy kettle would allow. Thanks to everyone for coming along and making this years hollypicking such a fun day – here’s looking forward to next years.

Thank to Andy Cahill for putting together this video of the day’s events and some pics thanks to Adrian Barber: [mediagrid cat=”56″ filter=”0″ r_width=”auto”]
