The Boyne River: Meath – Stackallen to Slane
We usually meet at the get on at Stackallen Weir.
Directions: Head out of Dublin along the N2 until you’re near Slane. Keep an eye out for a Brown sign – ‘Battle of the Boyne’. Turn left at sign and drive a couple of miles to 2nd right and then follow road 500mtrs.
Journey time from the clubhouse: approx 40/50 mins.
The Avonmore River: Wicklow – Trooperstown to Lynhams / Lynhams to Clara Vale
We usually meet at Lynham’s pub or at Trooperstown car park
Directions: Head out of Dublin along the M50 to join the N11. After sign for Kilmacanogue, take next exit signposted ‘Roundwood’ & ‘Glendalough’. Head through the roundabout to the other side of N11 and take the right at the small roundabout junction.
Follow road and veer right in Roundwood and take the left in Annamoe.
Trooperstown: is about 3km from Annamoe on the right-hand side. Signposted ‘Trooperstown’.
If heading to Lynham’s: Continue on road to Laragh, follow the road into the village and take first left. Lynham’s pub is on the left. Park at end of car park.
