Call for Rescue Support for Junior Liffey - Saturday 20th May

Post by PaulK » Fri May 12, 2017 2:45 pm

Hi all,

We need people to provide rescue cover for the Junior Liffey Descent on Saturday, 20th May. This is a fantastic event that enables the next generation of paddlers to participate in a Liffey Descent, and it would really be great if we could get a good bunch of us out to support the juniors by providing rescue (and some cheers and smiling faces)!

The exact details will be confirmed during the week but we will probably be covering Wren's Nest and / or Sluice.

Time: ca 11.00 - 15.30 (tbc)

We need

1) people who are comfortable rescuing in moving water
2) people to do bank / rope rescue

There are lots of different jobs to do, so whatever your skill level, it will be put to good use.

Bring all your ropes and rescue gear (don't forget to put your name on it) and we'll do a briefing in the car park.
Please put your name down if you are available to help, and I'll post an update about the exact location and time during the week.

See you on the 20th

Sorry Paul, I usually help out at this but I'm working an early shift Saturday and then going straight to set up for the Table Quiz that night. The MC is going to be fantastic! :D
