Re: 2016 Liffey Descent Rescue

Something seems strangely familiar about this notice :-) Should be free, either in boat, or as goalkeeper /coordinator at the last ditch pickup point saloon, similar to last year . i.e allowing boaters to drop off rescuee/s, and grabbing people /gear to stop em drifting further down. is main flow st...

Re: Plastic slalom Boats

No mate sorry. It would be nice to have one boat which would do all on the water. But not possible. Each style of boat is specifically designed for each activity on the water. While you could use one to do elements of an other. It would not work as well as a boat specifically meant for that activity...

Re: Kayaking and spectacles

Googles would be an advantage, but more if you need them to see clearly above water. Underwater especially in Ireland, with White water rivers and Sea, visibility and conditions are often poor, murky, and chaotic. With T-rescue and similar its more your sense of touch and awareness of body position ...

Re: Kayaking and spectacles

Been there, and after going through about four pairs of glasses a year through various sports and conditions which were tough on frames and lenses, I saved up for "frikking" lazer surgery, and have never looked back, pun intended :D I'm assuming your vision is not great without glasses ? With glasse...
