WWKC have loads of activities to keep the new member interested in the sport.
These include:
- Fortnightly River Trips
(culminating in the annual Holly Picking trip at Christmas). - Pool Rolling Sessions
From September in St Josephs School for the Deaf, Navan Road on Thursdays between 8pm-9pm - Polo Sessions
Every Thursday evenings from 7.00pm at the club till September.
Two Polo teams set-up in September for entry to the Dublin Canoe Polo League with pool training sessions on Mondays 10-11pm - Flat Water Racing Training
Every Saturday at the club from 11am - Slalom training
Every Saturday at the club from 11am - Open Canoeing Courses
Run on a regular basis including an Open Canoeing weekend in Cootehall (Co Roscommon) - Bank Holiday Weekends Away
Kayak Surfing Trip to Achill (August Bank Holiday weekend) – great for getting to know all the other new L2s
River Trip to Kerry (October Bank Holiday weekend)
River Trip to Glenties, Donegal (New Year holiday)
Surfing weekend to Enniscrone/Lahinch (Easter) - Continuation Courses
Level 3 courses and assessment weekends (subsidised by club)
REC3 (Rescue and Emergency Care) first aid courses

Note:
WWKC have a criteria that members must have their Level 2 before taking part in our activities. WWKC run several Level 2 kayaking courses in the months May – August. This is a good starting point for the club. Details for these courses can be found in Courses.
