The Wild Water Kayak Club Beginners Courses for 2010 are detailed below.

 
Course Duration:6 weeks
Cost:€200 for adults
  
  
 This includes:
 

1. Pre-course information night

 2. 6 week course including ICU Level 2 assessment
 3. Membership to the club until December 2011. (18 months)
 4. Use of all the club gear for the first 12 months.

Venue:WWKC Clubhouse
 
 

The clubhouse is located on the Strawberry beds road near the Angler's Rest pub. Coming from Chapelizod travel up Knockmaroon hill, veer left at the traffic lights and the club is about 400 metres from the lights on the left hand side. Parking is available in the Angler's Rest car park

Currently all adult places are full. We have some availability for juniors.

 

After completing your course you are welcome to participate in all club activities including:

  

  • River trips - usually every second Sunday
  • Weekends away - incorporates river running and surfing. Recent trips have been to Donegal, Achill and Killarney.
  • The opportunity to try Canoe Polo, Slalom, Open Canoeing, White Water Racing, Marathon Racing, and Freestyle.
  • Regular social activities

 

An €100 deposit per person is required to secure your place. The balance must be received no later than 2 weeks before the course is due to start. All deposits are non-refundable.
