| GENERAL CANOEING RULES |
| 1. Never canoe alone. |
| 2. Do not canoe if you cannot swim. |
| 3. Always wear adequate buoyancy and ensure there is adequate buoyancy for your canoe. |

Summer season (1st May to 15th September) |
Groups of three or more beginners of basic certificate standard may paddle unsupervised above Palmerstown Weir. Such groups must be accompanied by a more experienced paddler if they wish to shoot the Weir. |
Winter season (16th September to 30th April) |
School groups cannot avail of group membership during this period. Any individual school member who wishes to continue to use the Club facilities during this period should contact the Club secretary. |
Groups of three or more paddlers of intermediate certificate standard may paddle unsupervised above Palmerstown Weir. They can have paddlers of basic standard with them. These groups must be accompanied by a more experienced paddler if they wish to shoot the Weir. |
Competitive canoeists must wear buoyancy aids at all times. |

Members and visitors are requested to take special care when parking so as not to cause obstruction or inconvenience to our neighbours and the public generally. Please note : |

Failure to observe the above brings the Club into conflict with both Gardai and neighbours and may jeopardise WWKC's future plans. |

| Indemnity Statement |
In consideration of being admitted to Wild Water Kayak Club and allowed to use its site,
premises and equipment, I hereby undertake to indemnify the Club against all liability of any kind to
myself or to other persons in respect of death or injury (including that due to neglect or fault of the Club,
its members, servants or agents) suffered by me as a result of using its facilities or equipment,
at any time, and I declare that this indemnity shall (in the case of my death) shall be a continuing
one binding on my legal person, personal representatives and my estate generally.
I have read the Club's Safety Statement and I agree to abide
by it along with other rules and regulations of the Club and the ICU. I have also read agree to abide by the guidelines contained in the
Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children's Sport. |
